About South Clareview
History
South Clareview Community League was created in 1978 to serve the residents of Sifton Park, Belmont and Kernohan in Northeast Edmonton. As a member of the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL), South Clareview is a not for profit organization that is strictly operated by its volunteer members. All members are governed by its community bylaws and policies. Annually, the league’s Board and Executive members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in May.
South Clareview Community League continues to provide events and activities that promote community, health and well-being. As our demographic is changing, we are always trying to put on events and programs that reflect the needs of community and membership. There are numerous benefits for family as well as individuals.
The history of our symbol and crest represents the three ideals of the community league: growth, strength and beauty. The tree represents the three neighbourhoods, Sifton Park, Belmont, and Kernohan, from which South Clareview Community League arose. The league’s colours are blue and white.
